about jerry

Jerome (“Jerry”) S. Golden, developer of Savings2Income, and President and founder of Golden Retirement, LLC, is widely acknowledged as a leading innovator in the financial services industry. His numerous achievements include the design of successful innovations in life insurance, variable annuities, and retirement income, and his considerable influence extends across the entire industry.

Most recently, Jerry has developed a new set of products and services to help investors grow and convert retirement savings into Dependable, Spendable Retirement Income. These concepts include a patent-pending analytical system for designing and evaluating retirement solutions, and an innovative Savings2Income planning method aimed primarily at the vast, under-served population of Americans with modest amounts of retirement savings.

In addition, Jerry is president of Golden Retirement Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisor.

Prior to founding Golden Retirement, LLC, Jerry was President of the Income Management Strategies Division of MassMutual Financial Group, where he and his team developed the Retirement Management Account (RMA). Initially conceived at his firm, Golden Retirement Resources (acquired by MassMutual in 2005), RMA has been described by Cerulli Associates (recognized experts in researching asset management and distribution trends worldwide) as the “quintessential managed account platform for retirement income”.

As Executive Vice President of AXA Equitable from 1995 to1999, he was responsible for management and marketing of the Accumulator Variable Annuity, ultimately reaching $15 billion in annual worldwide sales.

Jerry previously founded and was President of Golden American Life Insurance Company, and held executive positions at Monarch Resources, Inc. and Equitable Variable Life Insurance Company.

As a sought-after speaker and industry panelist, Jerry has appeared on financial talk shows on radio and TV, and his research has been featured in leading financial publications.

His proposal to reform Social Security appeared as an Op-ed in Bloomberg News (at http://bloom.bg/v2UCRq). In that proposal, he suggested that the Social Security System could be made financially stronger while giving Social Security beneficiaries more choices about how and when their benefits are distributed.

Jerry holds a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan. He and his wife live in Scarsdale, New York.
